CONFIRMATION

Fuel is the stuff that you need to have in the tank to keep the motor running or the fire burning hot. Without fuel you have no power. Without fuel you're going no where fast.

We need fuel in all aspects of our life. We need physical fuel like pizza, Gatorade and sleep to keep our bodies functioning at high tempo. We need emotional fuel like hugs, smiles and compliments to keep our spirits feeling good. And we need spiritual fuel to keep our souls alive and our faith strong.

Confirmation is designed to keep all three of your tanks full and to keep your life running the way it's supposed to. It involves teaching out of God's Word so that our hearts and minds can be filled with love for God and knowledge about the way He wants us to live. Confirmation also has small groups as a place where we can talk about our lives, pray for each other and really get to know and love one another. And, of course, there will be food and games.

Come check it out and see what life is like when you're firing on all cylinders!

Confirmation FAQ

  • What is confirmation?

Confirmation is a three year program designed to walk middle school students through the Bible and teach them basics of the Christian faith. The program includes weekly reading and homework assignments, required weekly attendance, bimonthly sermon notes, participation in a small group, and occasional service projects.

  • Does confirmation cost money?

Confirmation costs $30/year. The reason for the cost is that every student who attends confirmation receives a Bible and a three-ring binder with a daily Bible reading plan and homework sheets that will guide them through the program.

  • Where does confirmation meet?

If you are a middle school student confirmation meets every Wednesday night at the Monticello Community Center from 6-9 pm.
