At Quarry Community Church, there are small groups of people who gather to find answers to spiritual questions - questions you find yourself asking from time to time. These groups are a great place to start to get answers to tough questions. And, at the same time, these groups are a safe place to connect and build friendships with other people just like you.
These informal discussion groups allow you to be yourself, raise any issues or questions you have about spiritual matters, express your thoughts and opinions without judgment, hear what others are thinking, and learn what the Bible has to say about life today.
Different groups meet at various times and locations, making it easy for you to find a group that fits your schedule. And you can even check out a group without feeling like you have to sign up for a long-term commitment. Go once and see what you think. If you're looking to move forward on your spiritual journey, a small group is a great place to learn alongside others... in a non-pressured environment.
The purpose of a community group is to provide a predictable
environment where participants experience authentic community and
spiritual growth. However, this type of environment is not possible if
people are randomly added and subtracted to groups.
Therefore, we have chosen to do community groups in such a way that
people have the chance to 'try out' group life for 6-8 weeks. These
initial gatherings are called 'starter groups.' They provide people
with the opportunity to date for several weeks before deciding whether
to sign up for a 12-18 month commitment to that group or to disband
guilt free.
We currently have 4 starter groups meeting at various locations. There
will be 2-3 new starter groups beginning in February 2006. All newly
received community group interest forms will be held and processed
then.
